Financial Assistance

• Recurring Grant: Rs. 152,600 per annum for a crèche serving 25 children.
• Non-recurring Grant: A grant of Rs. 10,000 at the start of every new crèche, with a subsequent grant of Rs. 5,000 at five-year intervals to replace or purchase new equipment/furniture, water filters, etc.

Mission Shakti Overview:

Mission Shakti is a scheme by the Ministry of Women and Child Development aimed at strengthening initiatives for women’s safety, security, and empowerment. The scheme will be implemented during the 15th Finance Commission period (2021-2026).

Mission Shakti has two sub-schemes:

1. Sambal: Focuses on women’s safety and security (e.g., One Stop Centres, Women Helplines, Beti Bachao Beti Padhao).
2. Samarthya: Focuses on women’s empowerment (e.g., Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana, Shakti Sadan, Working Women Hostel).

The Palna Programme falls under the Samarthya sub-scheme, contributing significantly to women’s empowerment by addressing their childcare needs, enabling them to engage in work while ensuring the well-being and development of their children.
