Collectors’ meet goes paperless

In yet another major initiative towards paperless administration, the State government conducted a paperless Collectors’ conference on Friday.Lauding the efforts of the officials, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu said the conference was being conducted paperless for the first time. The government would save Rs. 6 lakh to Rs. 7 lakh on the documents to be supplied to the officials and others. Hitherto, a good number of copies of reports, action-taken reports (ATRs), booklets and presentations made by the Collectors and heads of departments used to be supplied at the conference to officials and the media. This time, the Real Time Governance (RTG) digitalised the entire presentations and reports. The details were made available online. And, for this, the RTG prepared an exclusive website, which was launched by Mr. Naidu.
