GS2 – GOVERNANCE

What is it?
- Launched by Ministry of Tribal Affairs (2025).
 - World’s largest tribal grassroots leadership programme.
 - Aims to create 20 lakh tribal change leaders in 1 lakh villages, covering 10.5 crore tribal citizens.
 
Objectives
- Improve last-mile delivery of schemes in tribal areas.
 - Build responsive, people-centric governance.
 - Ensure participation of tribals in planning & development.
 
Structure
- Aadi Karmayogis – govt. officials.
 - Aadi Sahayogis – frontline workers (teachers, doctors, SHG leaders).
 - Aadi Saathis – local volunteers.
Together they form Janbhagidari Teams at village level. 
Capacity Building
- Regional Process Labs (RPLs) in cities like Bengaluru, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Guwahati.
 - Cascading training model: State → District → Block → Village.
 
Village Mechanisms
- Adi Sewa Kendra – fortnightly “service hours” for problem solving.
 - Tribal Village Vision 2030 – long-term development plan made with locals.
