26,000-km-long rally is aimed at creating awareness among farmers
The 26,000-km-long Kissan Adhikar Yatra, an awareness rally for sensitising farmers on farm-related issues, which began at Kupwara in Kashmir on July 26, reached Hubballi on Monday. The Rashtriya Kissan Mahasangh is organising the yatra which will culminate at Kanyakumari on August 20. A programme was organised at K.S. Sharma Kalyan Mantap here to welcome farmers who have taken up the country-wide yatra. Briefing media persons about the yatra, member of the Rashtriya Kissan Mahasangh Jagjeet Singh said that the rally was aimed at creating awareness among farmers. National convener of the mahasangh K.V. Beju said that the next course of action would be decided after August 20.
