Air India to launch six new flights

Air India will launch six new flights this month to New York, Frankfurt, London, Bangkok and Jaipur as part of its plans to better utilise its aircraft, some of which have been lying idle for the past several months due to lack of funds for maintenance. The airline will introduce a flight each on the Kolkata-Bangkok and Kolkata-Jaipur sectors from October 15. With effect from October 16, the airline will start flights on the Bangalore-Bangkok, Bangalore-London and Mumbai-Frankfurt routes. Mumbai will also get a direct flight to New York from October 28, which will be a six-day service.
