The Semana da Cultura Indo Portuguesa, an annual event that features cultural exchanges between Portugal and Goa, will complete a decade with the 10th edition of the event set to begin in Panaji later this week. The event will celebrate and appreciate the richcultural flavours of the two nations – India and Portugal, said Antônio Chrystello Tavares, Portugese Consul General in Goa and the convenor of the Executive Committee of Semana da Cultura Indo Portuguesa. Like previous editions, this year’s edition too will have a film festival, a concert by a Fadista, Fado singing competition, music workshops, a photography exhibition and Indo-Portuguese cuisine workshops, said Mr. Francisco Martins, chairman of the event committee, on Monday. Scheduled to be held on November 29 and 30 on the outskirts of the city, the event will see a host of Goan musicians perform through the evening. It will also host a Fado singing competition on December 5. A Photography Exhibition will be hosted at the Institute Menezes Braganza from December 5 to 7. A Portuguese film festival will be held from December 9 to 11 at Maquinez Palace.
