Strategic Alignment: Aligned with the RMNCAH+N (Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn, Child, and Adolescent Health + Nutrition) strategy under the National Health Mission.
Objective:
To ensure universal access to quality, comprehensive, and cost-free antenatal care (ANC), especially during the second and third trimesters, thereby reducing maternal and neonatal deaths.
Target Beneficiaries:
All pregnant women, with special focus on those who are unregistered, adolescents, or identified as high-risk.
Core Features:
- Fixed ANC Days: 9th of every month at designated government healthcare centers.
- Free Services Include: Physical checkups, one ultrasound, laboratory tests, Iron & Folic Acid, and calcium supplementation.
- Specialist Supervision: Services are delivered by gynecologists, physicians, and radiologists, including private sector professionals.
- Risk Stratification:
- Green Sticker – Low-risk pregnancies
- Red Sticker – High-risk pregnancies
- Convergence with Other Schemes: Integrated with programs like Janani Shishu Suraksha Karyakram (JSSK), Janani Suraksha Yojana (JSY), PM Matru Vandana Yojana, LaQshya, SUMAN, and POSHAN Abhiyaan.
