War workers after War

Extract:

The Government of Bengal has issued [in Calcutta] a resolution containing instructions to the heads of departments for employment in Government service of persons now employed in connection with the war. In filling up vacancies at the end of war, preference will be given to men who have rendered satisfactory war service provided they are otherwise qualified for such posts. The ordinary limit of age for admission to pensionable service will be extended in the cases of persons who had been precluded from entering service before twenty-five years owning to their work in connection with the war. Persons enlisted in combatant ranks may submit applications to the head of the department in which they wish to obtain employment on return from service.
