Context (PIB): The Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution has introduced the Food Corporation of India-Grievance Redressal System (FCI GRS) mobile application for rice millers.
Purpose: This app allows rice millers to efficiently address their grievances with the FCI, offering real-time tracking and updates.
Key Features:
- Automatic Assignment & Quick Resolution: When a grievance is lodged, it is automatically assigned to the relevant FCI nodal officers, ensuring prompt action.
- Geo-fencing for Quick Response Teams (QRTs): Quick Response Teams visit sites as needed, with the mobile app using geo-fencing to record their presence and ensure timely response.
