Armenia is bordered by four countries:
- Georgia: To the north
- Azerbaijan: To the east
- Iran: To the south
- Turkey: To the west
Armenia is a landlocked country in the Caucasus region of West Asia. It’s about the size of Maryland, with a total area of 29,743 square kilometers. Armenia’s terrain includes the Armenian Highland, mountains, fast-flowing rivers, and the Aras River valley.
Armenia and Azerbaijan have been in conflict over Nagorno-Karabakh since the mid-1980s. The two countries are still at war, and citizens of Armenia and those of Armenian descent are not allowed to enter Azerbaijan
