Developed by the National eGovernance Division (NeGD) under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Entity Locker is a secure, cloud-based solution designed to streamline the storage, sharing, and verification of documents for a wide range of entities, including:

• Micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs)

Entity Locker is a vital part of India’s Digital Public Infrastructure, aiming to digitize and simplify the management of documents in a secure and accessible manner.

Key Features of Entity Locker:

• Real-time Access and Verification: Enables real-time access and document verification by integrating with various government databases, ensuring seamless interactions with official records.
• Consent-based Secure Sharing: Implements consent-based mechanisms, allowing users to share sensitive information securely, while retaining control over their data.
• Aadhaar-authenticated Role-based Access: Ensures secure and accountable access by using Aadhaar authentication for role-based access management, meaning only authorized personnel can access specific documents or data.
• Encrypted Cloud Storage: Offers 10 GB of encrypted cloud storage, ensuring the security of sensitive documents and data from unauthorized access.
