U.S. President Donald Trump on Tuesday referred to porn star Stephanie Clifford, also known as Stormy Daniels, as “Horseface” in a Twitter post, as he gloated about a recent court ruling in his favour. He wrote: “[N]ow I can go after Horseface and her 3rd rate lawyer in the Great State of Texas. She will confirm the letter she signed! She knows nothing about me, a total con!” Mr. Trump’s use of the term “horseface” could prove problematic for Republicans facing women opponents in the upcoming midterm elections, now just weeks away. Ms. Clifford’s attorney, Michael Avenatti, fired back, calling Mr. Trump a “disgusting misogynist and an embarrassment to the United States”.
