Ashok Leyland, the Hinduja Group’s flagship company, unveiled Innoline, a BS IV engine driven by an in-line fuel pump. “This is the latest innovation from Ashok Leyland for commercial vehicles,” said Vinod K. Dasari, managing director, Ashok Leyland. “This technology can be upgraded and used for BS VI engines as well.” iEGR technology Mr. Dasari said Ashok Leyland had combined the indigenous mechanical pump for BS III engines with iEGR (Intelligent Exhaust Gas Recirculation) technology for the latest innovation. Innoline is a combination of the efficiency and performance of the iEGR technology with the renowned “SADA” or ‘Inline’ pump. Innoline, as the name suggests, is the innovative in-line pump or the upgraded “SADA” pump. This in-line pump is well-known in the Indian commercial vehicle industry and is preferred by drivers and service mechanics alike, Ashok Leyland said in a statement.
