Five more cheetahs released into Kuno National Park.
Kuno National Park is located in the Sheopur district of Madhya Pradesh.
- Originally established as a wildlife sanctuary in 1981, it was upgraded to a national park in 2018.
- It is part of the Khathiar-Gir dry deciduous forests ecoregion and is known for its rich biodiversity and conservation significance.
- Terrain: A mix of grasslands, savannas, plateaus, and dry deciduous forests, interspersed with rivers and small hills.
- River: The park is named after the Kuno River, a tributary of the Chambal River, which supports its ecosystem.
- Climate: Characterized by a tropical dry climate with distinct summer, monsoon, and winter seasons.
