The 18th Pravasi Bharatiya Divas (PBD) will be held in Bhubaneswar from January 8-10, 2025. The event, aimed at strengthening ties between India and its diaspora, will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, with President Christine Carla Kangaloo of Trinidad and Tobago as the virtual chief guest.

  • Theme: “Diaspora’s Contribution to a Viksit Bharat” with participation from over 50 countries, focusing on dialogue about visa regulations, investment opportunities, and community welfare.
  • Awards: Pravasi Bharatiya Samman Awards will recognize 27 honorees from various countries for their contributions in diverse fields.
  • Exhibitions: Features include “Vishwaroop Ram — The Universal Legacy of Ramayana” and exhibitions on diaspora technological contributions and its evolution.
  • Economic Focus: The event aims to promote investment in India, especially Odisha, with workshops and discussions on business opportunities.
