  • Celebrates the energy, determination, talent, zeal, and enthusiasm of children across India, recognizing their outstanding contributions.
  • It is the most prestigious national award given to children in India.
  • Administered by the Ministry of Women and Child Development, Government of India.
  • Awarded annually to commendable children under the age of 18.
  • Acknowledges exceptional achievements in the following seven areas:
    1. Art and Culture: For significant contributions to artistic or cultural endeavors.
    2. Bravery: For acts of exceptional courage and valor.
    3. Innovation: For creative and groundbreaking ideas or solutions.
    4. Science and Technology: For advancements or achievements in scientific and technological fields.
    5. Social Service: For notable efforts to improve society and help others.
    6. Sports: For excellence and accomplishments in sports.
    7. Environment: For initiatives and contributions to environmental conservation.
  • Open to Indian citizens below 18 years of age with demonstrated excellence in one or more of the specified categories.
  • Awardees are selected through a rigorous process involving nominations, evaluations, and recommendations by a panel of experts.
  • Recipients are honored with a medal, a certificate, and a cash prize, along with national recognition for their contributions.
