KAZIRANGA NATIONAL PARK

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 The park hosts聽two-thirds聽of the world’s great聽one-horned rhinoceroses.

Rhino population:

According to the census held in March聽2018聽the rhino population in Kaziranga National Park is聽2,613.

Conservation status:

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 It is a聽World Heritage Site聽declared by UNESCO in 1985.

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Kaziranga National Park was declared a聽Tiger Reserve聽in聽2006.

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Kaziranga is recognized as an聽Important Bird Area by BirdLife International聽for conservation of avifaunal species.

Vegetation and water bodies:

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Kaziranga is a vast expanse of tall聽elephant grass,聽marshland, and聽dense tropical moist broadleaf forests.

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 The聽Diphlu River聽runs through it.
