GS2 – Governance
Context
The Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports (MoYAS), through MY Bharat, partnered with the School of Ultimate Leadership (SOUL) Foundation via a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to foster youth leadership development across India.
Key Features of the MY Bharat-SOUL MoU:
- Objective: Develop one lakh youth leaders aged 18–29 nationwide.
- Duration: Valid for three years, extendable by mutual consent.
- Scope: Co-design of leadership programs, conclaves, workshops, research, and youth capacity building initiatives.
- Inclusivity: Selection includes youth from rural, urban, tribal, aspirational, and marginalised communities.
- Digital Platform: Envisions a national online program to enhance leadership skills.
Organisations Involved:
- Mera Yuva Bharat (MY Bharat): An autonomous body under the Department of Youth Affairs focused on youth development.
- SOUL: A nationally recognised, privately funded leadership training institution.
