PM-YUVA 3.0: Mentoring Young Authors Initiative

The Ministry of Education has introduced PM-YUVA 3.0 (Young, Upcoming, and Versatile Authors), a scheme aimed at nurturing young writers under the age of 30. This initiative seeks to encourage reading, writing, and literary culture while also promoting Indian literature on a global scale.

Key Features

Objective:

    • To mentor aspiring authors, fostering their growth and enhancing India’s literary presence internationally.

Themes Covered:

    • Role of the Indian Diaspora in Nation-Building
    • Indian Knowledge System
    • Makers of Modern India (1950–2025)

Implementation:

    • The scheme is managed by the National Book Trust (NBT) under the Ministry of Education.
    • Selected works will be published by NBT and translated into various Indian languages under the Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat initiative.

Alignment with NEP 2020:

    • Supports the empowerment of young intellectuals and helps shape future leaders in literature and academia.

PM-YUVA 3.0 serves as a platform to nurture literary talent, encourage knowledge sharing, and elevate Indian literature globally, reinforcing the objectives of NEP 2020.
