Context
The Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports is organising the Youth Spiritual Summit in Varanasi (July 18–20, 2025) to address the issue of substance abuse among youth through value-based leadership.
Theme: “Nasha Mukt Yuva for Viksit Bharat”

- Jan Andolan for Drug-Free India:
Mobilises 500 youth delegates from 100 spiritual organisations to lead grassroots action against substance abuse. - Kashi Declaration:
A youth-led roadmap focused on:- Policy interventions
- Awareness campaigns
- Spiritual counselling in rehabilitation
- Kargil Vijay Diwas Padyatra (26 July 2025):
A commemorative march with MY Bharat, youth volunteers, and the Indian Army, promoting:- Fitness (Fit India Movement)
- Patriotism and unity
Significance:
- Promotes value-based leadership among youth.
- Utilises India’s spiritual heritage to counter modern societal challenges.
- Aligns with the national vision: “Sankalp se Siddhi, Viksit Bharat by 2047”
