To stimulate and fast-track investments in the agriculture sector, the government is developing a unified digital platform — the Krishi Nivesh Portal — that will integrate schemes from different ministries and state governments.
Overview of the Krishi Nivesh Portal
Launched by the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, the Krishi Nivesh Portal aims to support farmers and investors alike. It serves a wide range of users, including farmers, agripreneurs, and agro-industries, by offering centralized access to information on both Central and State Government schemes.
Through this portal, investors can tap into various government-backed subsidy programs from multiple departments and ministries aimed at agricultural development. It acts as a one-stop digital solution for navigating the numerous welfare initiatives across the agricultural ecosystem.
This comprehensive platform is designed to promote agribusiness, encourage investment inflows, and uplift farmers’ earnings. It enables users to explore investment prospects, track the progress of their applications, and gather detailed insights into relevant schemes — all through a single interface.
The portal streamlines the entire investment process, ensuring better transparency and operational efficiency. Features include an intuitive interface, real-time chatbot assistance, and interactive dashboards that support data-driven decisions.
Currently, the portal hosts information on 17 key schemes in the agriculture sector, such as the Agriculture Infrastructure Fund, Animal Husbandry Infrastructure Development Fund, PM Kisan Sampada Yojana, and PM-KUSUM (Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha evam Utthaan Mahabhiyan). These initiatives span seven ministries, including agriculture, food processing, rural development, jal shakti, new and renewable energy, and fertilisers — all accessible through a single platform.
