Context

The Ministry of Tribal Affairs inaugurated the second Regional Process Lab (RPL) in Bhopal, continuing the training initiative under the Adi Karmayogi Abhiyan. The first lab was set up in Bengaluru.

About the Scheme
  • Mission Objective:
    Aims to build responsive governance by training tribal officials and community leaders.
  • Implementing Body:
    Launched by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs
Core Features
  • Coverage:
    Targets 1 lakh tribal villages, intending to train 20 lakh officials at grassroots level.
  • Approach:
    Utilises a bottom-up, participatory governance model in tribal areas.
  • Cascade Training Model:
    • State Master Trainers (SMTs) trained at RPLs
    • SMTs then lead State Process Labs (SPLs)
    • SPLs train District Master Trainers (DMTs)
Regional Process Labs (RPLs)
  • Hosted by Tribal Research Institutes (TRIs)
  • Serve as centres for field-based learning and inter-state knowledge exchange
Convergence Mechanism
  • Ensures inter-ministerial collaboration between:
    • Ministry of Tribal Affairs
    • Ministry of Rural Development
    • Ministry of Women and Child Development
  • Goal: Integrated and holistic governance delivery at the village level
